OMAHA — About 30 people have been left without homes after an Omaha apartment fire.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at Hillsborough Point Apartments northwest of 144th and Maple streets just after 9 p.m. Saturday.

No one was injured, but the fire destroyed the top floor of the building and left 30 people without homes as temperatures dropped.

The American Red Cross provided food, clothing and shelter to those who needed help.
