COZAD - More than 150 people turned out to honor an Army sergeant from the south-central Nebraska town of Cozad who died in Iraq.
A memorial was held Sunday in the high school gym for Sgt. Justin Duffy.
Duffy died in Baghdad on June 2 after a bomb exploded near his Humvee.
His body was buried last month near Moline, Ill., where Duffy grew up and started school. The family moved to Cozad when Duffy was in the sixth grade.
Duffy graduated from Cozad High School in 1995 and later from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
His father, Joe Duffy, says his son "was a man of few words but good actions."
