OMAHA - Omaha police have arrested two people in connection with the pistol-whipping of a 3-year-old boy.
Omaha Police Officer Michael Pecha says the boy's father, 21-year-old Derico Hebron, and his girlfriend, 26-year-old Le Mesha Wright, were arrested shortly after midnight.
Police say Hebron and Wright got into an argument at a northwest Omaha apartment on Friday afternoon. Police say Hebron hit the boy in the head with a gun during the argument.
The child was taken by ambulance to an Omaha hospital with a head injury, but he is expected to recover. Officials say the child had a cut under one eye.
Both Hebron and Wright are suspected of domestic assault.
