Cass County State Co. of Plattsmouth, owner of Cass County Bank, announced an agreement to sell the company and bank to Citizens National Corp. of Wisner. Terms were not disclosed. 

The sale is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2014.

Citizens National plans to maintain CCB as a standalone bank headquartered in Plattsmouth.

CNC is the owner of Citizens State Bank, established in 1888, in Wisner. It has branches in Belden, Creston, Friend, Laurel, Leigh, Spalding and West Point. It also operates two branches in Kansas and has a significant investment in United Republic Bank in Elkhorn. 

Cass County Bank was organized and opened for business in 1966.
