A 26-year-old Syracuse man was killed in a rollover accident Thursday west of Syracuse.

The driver, Tyler Isaacs, was ejected from the vehicle and was found dead at the scene.

Otoe County Sheriff's deputies responded at about 11:30 a.m. to a report by a passing motorist of a car rolled in the ditch approximately two miles west of Syracuse on Road 1.

Deputies discovered a 2005 Ford Focus had gone off the road into the south ditch and rolled. The vehicle had also struck a coal car owned by The Kelly Hill Co.

The crash had occurred several hours earlier. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. Seat belts were not in use.

The accident is still under investigation, including whether alcohol was involved, according to a release from the Otoe County Sheriff's Department.
