Lincoln’s water future will be the topic for a 6 p.m. panel discussion Thursday at the Heritage Room of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Union.

The event, sponsored by the Nebraska League of Conservation Voters and the Nebraska Conservation Education Fund, will focus on the state of Lincoln’s water supply now and in the future and will cover water conservation tactics Lincolnites can use in their daily lives.

The panel for the free event will include Paul Zillig, general manager of the Lower Platte South NRD; Steve Owens, superintendent of Lincoln Water Systems; and City Councilwoman Leirion Gaylor Baird.
