State Attorney General Jon Bruning has been named the chairman of GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s Nebraska campaign.

The announcement came Wednesday from the former Arkansas governor’s campaign.

Bruning says he supports Huckabee because he’s “a man of honor” who has always supported the criminal justice system.

Huckabee was the Republican winner in last week’s Iowa caucus, but came in third Tuesday in New Hampshire.

Gov. Dave Heineman announced last month that was endorsing former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination.
