Jacob Dostal, son of Kim and Jeff Dostal, is an eighth-grader at St. Teresa School. School officials said: “Jacob is very conscientious and kind to all students in class. He wants to do the right thing and is willing to make the right decision even when it isn’t the norm. Jacob works hard at his studies and puts his best effort forth in all things he does in the classroom.” Jacob made the Academic Honor Roll and was selected to throw the first pitch at a Lincoln Saltdogs game. He participates in St. Teresa’s cross country and basketball and Lincoln Junior Saltdogs baseball. Jacob’s hobbies are playing piano, guitar and drums, and hanging out with friends.

Cameron Krueger, son of Johanna and James Krueger, is an eighth-grader at Lefler Middle School. School officials said: “Cameron is a fantastic student! He earns good grades, has a great sense of humor and always follows Lefler expectations. He wears a smile and is kind to peers and teachers.” Cameron has had perfect attendance this school year. He played in the Jazz Band, Blair Honor Band and All City Band. He plays basketball for Lefler and the East Supreme team. He will be confirmed this year at Grace Lutheran Church. Other interests are swimming, riding his bike, playing with his dog, playing video games and hanging out with friends.

Kyle Nguyen, son of Khoa and Nghia Nguyen, is an eighth-grader at St. Michael’s School. Student officials said: “Kyle is a well-rounded student. Academically he is a high achiever and has a very positive attitude toward learning.” Kyle’s civic and volunteer involvement includes serving at Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach. He enjoys playing soccer for Lincoln United and is active in church at St. Michael Parish.

Lwi Zar, daughter of Bo Meh and Poe Reh, is an eighth-grader at Blessed Sacrament School. Student officials nominated Lwi for her academic achievements, ability to adapt, serving as a peer helper to kindergartners and friendliness. Her awards and recognitions include Footsteps of Mary. Lwi plays volleyball, basketball and soccer, and she also enjoys playing in the band. Her religious activities include serving as a rosary leader, mass helper and reader at mass. Civic and volunteer involvement includes working at the concession stand at the old school. Lwi enjoys seeing movies in her free time.
