Several Lincoln locations — including a library — will celebrate Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, next Sunday.
Family storytime, crafts and a gift basket drawing will take place next Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th St.
Attendees can add names of loved ones to an ofrenda (ritual altar) displayed in honor of Nebraska poets Don Welch and Nancy McCleery.
Dia de los Muertos passports will be distributed and stamped.
Other Dia de los Muertos celebrations will be at the Capitol building, Nebraska History Museum, Lincoln's Children's Museum and the Student Union.
