Vandals threw rocks through windows of nine to 10 vehicles in Waverly -- including a deputy's patrol car -- doing $5,000 damage, the Lancaster County sheriff said.

Deputies discovered the first vandalism around 4:15 a.m. Monday after a victim went out to their car and discovered the damage, said Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner. Reports of similar cases have been coming in ever since.

“It’s a bunch. It’s all over town, all over Waverly,” Wagner said.

Deputies have not found any witnesses but encouraged anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office at 402-441-6500.
