A judge Thursday sentenced a 41-year-old man to four years in prison for selling meth to an undercover officer in Lincoln.

Between November 2010 and January 2011, Alfredo Ayon Soto sold half of a pound of meth to the officer with the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, according to police.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to delivery of methamphetamine.

Soto's attorney, Jeanelle Kleveland, told Lancaster County District Judge Paul Merritt Jr. that he got involved in selling drugs to help his mother who has cancer. She said he will be deported after he has served his sentence.
