A woman's three-story fall from a window in south Lincoln turned up a jar of meth and images of two men allegedly smoking it, police say.

Now one of the men, 43-year-old Scott Staberg, is in jail, suspected of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

After the 25-year-old woman fell from an apartment window at 4401 S. 27th St. during a domestic incident Thursday evening, another woman allowed officers into the apartment, unit E16.

Inside, they spotted suspected drug paraphernalia through a bedroom doorway, according to a Lincoln police investigator's affidavit.

A man living in the room wouldn't let them in, so officers returned a few hours later with a search warrant for the entire apartment.

Inside another room there, which they say belongs to Staberg, they found the jar of suspected meth and a disk with images of both men allegedly smoking meth from a pipe, the affidavit says.

Police arrested Staberg just after 8 p.m. Saturday after arranging a meeting with him at the apartment.

He told the investigator he'd been out of town and had no knowledge of meth or meth dealing, according to the affidavit.

Staberg -- who already faces a May 3 charge of possession of a controlled substance and who served time in prison for earlier convictions -- is being held without bond in Lancaster County Jail until his 2 p.m. arraignment Tuesday.

The woman, who rescue workers said was in a great deal of pain after fall, remained in fair condition at BryanLGH Medical Center West on Monday.
