Police say clerks at seven of 16 businesses in southwest Lincoln sold alcohol to a minor Friday.

Officer Katie Flood said as part of a liquor compliance detail, a 19-year-old woman went into liquor establishments and tried to buy alcohol.

If asked, she used her own driver's license as identification.

Flood said seven employees sold to the 19-year-old. Police ticketed the clerks on suspicion of selling alcohol to a minor - a misdemeanor offense.

Flood said violations occurred at: U-Stop, 1421 Centerpark Road; Road House Bar & Grill, 1501 Centerpark Road; Super C, 3202 S. 10th St.; The C Station, 1120 S. Coddington Ave.; Meier's Cork N Bottle, 1244 South St.; Gas Plus, 1301 South St.; and Kabredlo's, 600 W. A St.
