Police still are not releasing the names of a man and a woman who were critically injured in a Thursday accident at 40th Street and Yankee Hill Road.
Lincoln Police Capt. Genelle Moore said witnesses told police that at 1:16 p.m. a delivery truck eastbound on Yankee Hill Road ran a stop sign at the intersection and hit the driver’s side of a Chevy pickup northbound on 40th Street.
The man driving the pickup was momentarily trapped, Moore said. Both he and a female front seat passenger were taken to BryanLGH Medical Center West. An infant that was riding in a car seat in the pickup was fine, Moore said. The delivery truck driver was treated and released.
On Friday night the man and woman remain in critical condition at BryanLGH Medical Center West, Moore said.
