The Center for People in Need plans its Giving ThanksGiving Food event Thursday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Low-income families and individuals are invited to come to the center at 3901 N. 27th St. to pick up food and related items for the holiday.
Through its Neighborhood FOOD Program, the center will provide Thanksgiving foods, gift certificates to a grocery store and other items from the Truckloads of Help Program.
The center expects to serve about 4,500 families this year.
People attending the event need to bring their center card, if they have one, a photo ID, and a piece of mail with their name and address. For questions, call 476-4357.
