Jonathon Moravec, 26, of David City was critically injured in an all-terrain-vehicle accident on July 4. He died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Moravec and his girlfriend, Jeralee Shotkoski, were riding an ATV on a trail near Republican City when the ATV overturned and he sustained a traumatic head injury.

Moravec, who was driving the ATV, was flown to the hospital in Kearney, where his condition had improved slightly by Wednesday.

His mother, Diane Moravec, said Tuesday that the family appreciated the outpouring of support they had received.

Moravec graduated in December 2005 with business degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Services are pending with Chermok Funeral Home in David City.
