A 20-year-old Manley man was injured in a traffic accident early Saturday after falling asleep behind the wheel.
Alexander Hibler was southbound on Nebraska 50 near mile marker 72 around 6:49 a.m. when his maroon 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix crossed the center line and struck the rear axles of a trailer being pulled by a yellow 2001 Mack semi, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Hibler was taken by Louisville Rescue to Midlands Hospital in Papillion. The hospital did not list him as a patient Monday morning.
The driver of the semi, 45-year-old Randall Tripp of Ashland, was not taken to a hospital.
