Two thieves assaulted and robbed a 23-year-old man Thursday night in the parking lot of a Walgreens, getting away with a Batman T-shirt and an energy drink he had just bought and leaving him bleeding from his head.

Lincoln Police Officer Angela Sands said it happened at 10 p.m. outside the pharmacy at 17th and South streets.

Video showed the man at his car when the two men came up from behind a fence to approach him and demanded his belongings. The victim told police that one of the men hit him in the face, then the other hit him on the back of the head with an unknown object. When he ran to the store for help, the thieves took off with the bag from the store.

Police had only a general description of one of the thieves.
