The son of former Nebraska Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, a Lincoln police spokeswoman said.

Investigators took 18-year-old Jack Eichorst to the Lancaster County jail after looking into an alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy reported Oct. 26, according to a news release and incident report shared by Officer Angela Sands.

The police report says the alleged assault took place overnight Oct. 20 at the Eichorst home, in southwest Lincoln's Ridge neighborhood.

Lancaster County Attorney Joe Kelly said Friday afternoon his attorneys had yet to review the case. No charges have been filed.

Jack Eichorst is a senior at Lincoln Southwest High School.

Shawn Eichorst became the athletic director at Nebraska in 2012. He was fired in September.
