Prosecutors have accused a Lincoln man of raping an intoxicated 25-year-old woman in a Haymarket bar last month, according to court documents.

Moses Childs Jr., 46, of 2734 S. 10th St., was arrested Thursday in connection with the Aug. 30 incident at JJ Hooligan's, 311 N. Eighth St. He was charged Friday with first-degree sexual assault.

Employees of the bar arrived that morning to find closing duties hadn't been completed and the office in disarray, Lincoln police said in an affidavit for Childs' arrest.

Staff watched surveillance video and saw what they believed was a sexual assault and reported it to police, the affidavit said.

The video showed the woman was extremely intoxicated in the bar area between 2 and 3 a.m.

Investigators said the video shows Childs and the woman, whom he knew, walking into the office where he raped her multiple times.

She was unconscious for a "good portion" of the sexual assault, which lasted more than 30 minutes, the investigator said.

The woman had scrapes on her face and chin and bruising on her arms and legs, according to the affidavit.

She told police she didn't remember anything that occurred in the bar's office, the affidavit said.

Childs told police the entire encounter was consensual.

If convicted, he faces up to 50 years in prison.
