A 30-year-old Lincoln woman ran off a west Lincoln road at 60 mph Monday night, went off a levee and rolled into a creek, police said.

Tiffany L. Steele was driving north on South Folsom Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at the T-intersection with Rosa Parks Way about 11:30, Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood said.

Her car ran off the road, blew through a chain-link fence, went off an embankment and rolled into Middle Creek, Flood said.

The force of the crash threw a back-seat passenger out of the car, but he’s expected to survive, Flood said.

Officers released Steele after citing her on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving recklessly, Flood said.
