As the weather revisits a bit of its wintry chill, family activities abound this weekend -- many of them indoors.
The Lincoln Children's Museum, 1420 P St., hosts its annual ZooZeum Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. ZooZeum Day is a partnership between the museum and several other local organizations dedicated to educating children about habitat preservation and the importance of humane treatment and interaction with animals.
ZooZeum activities are included with regular admission: $6.50 ages 2-61; $6 for seniors; $4 for 1-year-olds.
On Sunday, the University of Nebraska's monthly Sunday with a Scientist program is set for 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Morrill Hall. The theme is parasites. Activities will be led by the faculty, staff and students of the Nebraska State Museum's Parasitology Division. Scientists will teach about parasite diversity and life.
Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for ages 5 to 18; free for 4 and under; and $10 for families (up to two adults and children. Sunday with a Scientist programs are held on the third Sunday of each month.

* Nebraska Robotics Expo will get under way Saturday at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland. Nearly 800 elementary, middle and high school students from across the state will show off their science, engineering, technology and math skills in this competition. Opening ceremonies will be at 8:30 a.m. with competition beginning at 9 a.m. Closing ceremonies will begin at 4:15 p.m. Admission: $12 for adults; $11 for seniors and military; and $6 ages 6 to 12.
* Great Backyard Bird Count Activity Day will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Pioneers Park Nature Center. The day begins with a winter bird walk at 9 a.m., followed by refreshments and programs on how to attract birds to your back yard in the Chet Ager Building. * Marcus Theatre's Frosty Flick is "Alpha & Omega" in 2-D. Showtimes are 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday at The Grand and SouthPointe theaters. Admission is $2.
* The annual Prairie Princess Party takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island. This year's theme is Winter Wonderland. The day includes entertainment, activities, games, music, crafts, treats and history. Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for ages 6-12; and $5 for 5 and under.
