A new survey found Lincoln to be one of the best places in the country to raise a family.
Children's Health magazine released a ranking of the 100 best and worst places in America for family-rearin', with Lincoln coming in at No. 4 and Omaha at No. 9
Children's Health ranked the 100 major U.S. cities based on a statistical analysis of more than 30 factors, including crime and safety, education, economics, housing, cultural attractions and health stats.
Burlington, Vt. tops the list of the best places to raise a family, followed by Madison, Wisc.; Fargo, N.D.; Lincoln; Fremont, Calif.; Lexington, Ky.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Cheyenne, Wyo.; Omaha; and Yonkers, N.Y.
Detroit, Mich. ranks as the worst place in America to raise a family, followed by Miami, Fla.; Orlando, Fla.; Memphis, Tenn.; Fresno, Calif.; Cleveland, Ohio; Tampa, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Toledo, Ohio.
