Stanley M. Wiebke, 80, of Cook, passed away May 14, 2018, at the Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1938, to Martin & Emma (Spanjer) near Burr. Stanley married Beverly Schmidt on April 18, 1964, at Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. He worked for 25 years at the Cook Elevator. He was a 4-H leader and on the Tree Board in Cook. Stanley was also an active member at Grace Lutheran Church. He had a large vegetable garden and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his sons; Michael Wiebke of Cook, Ken (Heather) Wiebke of Lenexa, Kan., grandchildren: Victoria Wiebke of Overland Park, Kan., and Taylor Wiebke of Lenexa, sisters: Marilyn Saathoff of Sterling, Eunice (Gary) Weible of Richland, Wash., brothers: Ivan (Julie) Wiebke of Holyoke, Colo., Charles (Betsy) Wiebke of Dubuque, Iowa, sister-in-law; Carol Wiebke, brother-in-law; Jim Armknecht, also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Everett, Ralph, Robert, sister; Sandy Armknecht and brother-in-law; Robert Saathoff.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 18, at Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. Burial will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. all Thursday, May 17, at Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home, Syracuse.
