Winston Allen Cochell, was born to Harry and Pauline (Good) Cochell in Lincoln on July 1, 1947. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Bud Cochell, age 64, in St. Jean Pied de Port, France on May 17, 2012. He will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit and his sense of adventure. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965, attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and served for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had lived in Colorado Springs, Colo. since 1987.

Bud is survived by his children, Becky (Keith) Monnig, Jennie (David) Gathright, Ben (Jen) Cochell, and Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Cooks, and grandchildren, Jasmine, Jeffrey Jr. and Scarlett, all in Colorado; his sisters, Jean Dier, Lincoln, Cathy (Mel) Heitmann, Omaha; and brother, Milton (Charlene) Cochell, Firth; nine nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Cochell, his parents, and brother-in-law, Jim Dier.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 420 N Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colo. Memorials may be made to the family.
