Sara Jane (Creamer) Byorth, 70, Lincoln, died at home Thursday, September 16th, 2010. Sara was born in Lincoln and lived most of her life here. She had a 31 year career as a teacher with the Lincoln Public Schools, all at Calvert Elementary School. Sara's undergraduate degree was earned at Kansas State and her masters at UNL. She had further study at several Nebraska colleges. In later years, Sara enjoyed participating in the study of tai chi as well as the promotion of Pet Partners, which she led for five years and helped build into an active service organization.

Sara is survived by her husband, Donald G. Byorth, a son, Jon C. Creamer of Colorado Springs, a daughter, Anne Howell of Omaha, a sister, Marianne Schultz of Lincoln. Parents, Harvey and Edna Schultz proceeded Sara in death.

There will, at Sara's request, be no formal services. Those wishing to remember Sara may direct memorials to the Lincoln City Mission.
