Key stop leads to score

On its first possession of the game, Arkansas State failed to convert on a fourth-and-8 near midfield, leading to Nebraska’s first score — a 1-yard touchdown run by Ameer Abdullah. The score capped a 51-yard, nine-play drive.

Martinez-Bell connection

Taylor Martinez and Kenny Bell hooked up for their second touchdown in the first half on a 25-yard pass play for a 21-3 NU lead. Martinez found Bell over the middle and the sophomore did the rest, showcasing some nice moves.

Putting up a wall

Leading 28-10 in the third quarter, the Husker defense rose up and forced a Red Wolves field goal after the visitors recovered a fumble at the NU 15. ASU had already capitalized on an earlier Husker turnover.
