Feb. 3 – Habitat for Humanity 30 Years Gala

Habitat for Humanity-Lincoln will mark its 30th anniversary with a Raise the Roof celebration and toolbelt fashion show gala at the Creekside Event Barn in Roca. Includes a VIP cocktail reception at 5 p.m. and the celebration from 6-9 p.m. The highlight will be a fashion show and live auction of themed toolbelts for the master griller, chocolate lover, Husker fan and more. Feb. 3 – Friends of Lied to host Carnivale de Lied Gala

Enjoy a magical evening of mystery, masks and music at this 14th biennial gala, Carnivale de Lied: a Masquerade Ball, a fundraiser for the Friends of Lied, 6 p.m. on the Lied Center’s main stage. Enjoy drinks, a three-course dinner, dancing, silent auction, live auction and music. Dance to Kansas City’s Musivo Live on the main stage, or enjoy the musical talents of Vince Learned, Darryl White, Ron Cooley and Kellyn Wooten in the Johnny Carson Theater. Feb. 9 – Chocolate Lover’s Fantasy

Get your chocolate fix from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 1040 P St. This 32nd annual event brings chefs together with chocolate connoisseurs to raise money for Historic Haymarket District community events. Feb. 9 – Mardi Gras Casino Royale

This third annual Heartland Cancer Foundation fundraiser, 7 p.m. at Wilderness Ridge, benefits local cancer patients. Enjoy live jazz, heavy hors d’oeuvres, casino gaming tables, a cash bar and silent auction. VIP after-party begins at 10:30 p.m., featuring local band Thirty Second Hangover and light hors d’oeuvres, socializing with special guests, gaming tables and a chef’s dessert presentation. Feb. 23 – Lincoln Wine and Food Experience

This 10th annual event offers an opportunity to try an international selection of wines at Embassy Suites, 1040 P St., 5-8 p.m. Foodies can sample fine cheeses, gourmet desserts, beef, seafood and many unique items. Approximately 90 booths will fill the main ballroom. In addition, Reserve Room guests (4-8 p.m.) will enjoy an exclusive selection of reserve wines and a buffet. Feb. 24 – Team Jack Gala

This fifth annual event features speaker Dick Vermeil, Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL coach of the year, at Embassy Suites, 1040 P St. With a goal to raise funds for pediatric brain cancer research, Vermeil will be joined by elite former Huskers and current NFL players, including the Huskers’ own Rex Burkhead and many more.
