Local Time Warner Cable subscribers are passionate about their weather, especially when they can't find the forecast.

That's been the issue recently with a feature on the Weather Channel called "Local on the 8's," which details local forecasts and weather conditions.

It's been missing from the network (channels 25, 370 and 1370) and subscribers have wondered what's up.

Time Warner Cable spokesperson Dave Borchardt said the cable company was aware of the problem and now has it fixed.

"We simply had a piece of equipment malfunction," he said. "The specific cause of this issue was identified (Monday) and a replacement part was ordered."

The good news was the part arrived earlier than expected.

"I have been told that the 'Local on the 8’s' is up and running again," Borchardt said.
