A record 240 people attended the fall fundraiser Party with the Playhouse to honor Lincoln Community Playhouse legends Connie Dillow, Leta Powell Drake, David Landis and Rod McCullough. The event raised $55,000 for the Playhouse.

Comedian Larry the Cable Guy and Ken Siemek, chief meteorologist for the channels 10/11 Now weather team, served as celebrity auctioneers. Executive Travel and Husker Auto Group donated live auction items, and many other local businesses and individuals donated additional items for the live and silent auctions. Committee chair Steve Glenn and committee members, event volunteers and staff members coordinated the event.

A highlight of the evening was the debut of a number from “Mamma Mia!” performed by Julie Enersen and Lauren Silverman Durban. Rachel Danay and V2 Content provided a video about the Penguin Project.
