Lincoln's Jamie Rankin hopes to keep co-hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White busy when she appears Monday on the syndicated game show "Wheel of Fortune."
The show will air at 6:30 p.m. on KOLN/KGIN-TV.
Rankin, 32, is a nurse at West Lincoln Elementary School and mother of three. She uploaded her video audition to the game's website in hopes of winning a honeymoon for her and her husband, according to a news release. She and Noa Craft married at a surprise wedding just days before Rankin taped her episode. She and Craft had told their families they were gathering for a photo shoot.
Currently celebrating its 35th season, "Wheel of Fortune" features contestants spinning a wheel — trying to avoid "Lose A Turn" or "Bankrupt" — calling out consonants, buying vowels and attempting to solve hangman-style puzzles to win vacations and cash prizes.
This season, contestants going to the Bonus Round will choose the category of their puzzle from three options. The category options will vary from episode to episode.
In addition, Wheel Watchers Club members will want to pay specific attention to the Mystery Round. If the $10,000 Mystery Wedge is won by a contestant, then the SPIN ID of a loyal viewer will be revealed, giving them the chance to also win $10,000.
