Amy Goodman, host of “Democracy Now!,” will speak and sign books at 8 p.m. April 20 at the Rococo Theatre as part of Lincoln community radio station KZUM's yearlong 40th anniversary celebration.

Goodman's show airs at noon weekdays on KZUM (89.3 FM).

"The program has grown over the years to become one of the most supported shows during KZUM's fund drives — a clear indication that listeners continue to place a high value on independent media,” said KZUM Program Director Ryan Evans.

Tickets are $60 (reserved) for the dance floor, and $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show for general-admission balcony seats. There also are a limited number of VIP tickets for $100 apiece, which include two drink tickets, complimentary appetizers, a copy of Goodman’s latest book, “Democracy Now!: Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America,” and a meet-and-greet with Goodman.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at kzum.org or rococotheatre.com.
