"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" (PG-13): The all-American heroes come to life in this brain-dead but sporadically entertaining adaptation of the Hasbro toys/cartoon. Stars Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid and various pops, kapows and boom-booms. Grade: C-
"The Taking of Pelham 123" (R): This tedious, headache-inducing remake of the '70s classic pits baddie kidnapper John Travolta against goodie dispatcher Denzel Washington. The two battle wits (I use the word loosely) to decide the fate of a hijacked train. Grade: D-
"I Love You, Beth Cooper" (PG-13): This would-be high school comedy classic (adapted from the popular book by Larry Doyle) recycles a tale as old as Cain and Abel: Nerdy guy tries to get the hot girl.
"Food, Inc." (PG): Critically acclaimed doc shows the pudgy, corrupty underbelly of the U.S. food industry.
