Nebraska dropped one spot in the Forbes "Best States for Business" ranking but remained in the top five.
The state came in fourth in the ranking this year after being third the past two years.
Among the criteria Forbes uses to formulate the ranking, Nebraska was top-10 in regulatory environment, quality of life and business costs. Its lowest ranking, 25th, was for economic climate.
North Carolina topped the list this year after being second last year. It was followed by Texas and Utah, which had held the top spot three years in a row.
