Local home prices cooled a bit in October but still were up more than 5 percent over last year.
According to a report released Tuesday by real estate data firm CoreLogic, home prices in the Lincoln metro area were up 5.4 percent in October compared with October 2016.
It was a slowdown from August and September, when home prices in the Lincoln area rose at least 6 percent compared with the same month a year ago, but it continues a streak of 17 straight months of year-over-year increases of at least 5 percent.
For the first time in more than a year, the increase in Lincoln was lower than the overall state increase of 5.5 percent. Nationally, home prices rose 7 percent, according to CoreLogic.
