Lincoln's first Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza is opening its doors this week.
The 2,900-square-foot location that seats 76 will open Thursday in the Larson Building at 1317 Q St.
The open-kitchen concept restaurant features made-to-order artisinal pizzas, and it also caters to customers with special dietary needs, offering options with gluten-free dough, and vegan and dairy-free cheeses.
To celebrate its opening, the local Blaze location is offering a free pizza to anyone who visits on Friday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. and who also follows the brand on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
Paul McCrae, the local Blaze Pizza franchisee, said in a news release that he's "thrilled to be a part of the ‘Go Big Red’ experience in the heart of downtown Lincoln.”
Blaze will employ about 55 people in Lincoln, most of whom will be part time.
