The passenger decline at the Lincoln Airport continued last month.

Numbers released Thursday by the airport show that commercial passenger traffic fell 8 percent in September compared with September 2016.

Delta Air Lines saw its year-over-year passenger numbers drop 15 percent, while United Airlines'  numbers fell 4 percent.

Charter flight traffic was up significantly in September, with a 121 percent increase over a year ago. That left the airport with an overall 3 percent passenger decline for the month.

For the year, commercial airline traffic is down 6 percent, charter traffic is up 32 percent and overall traffic is down 5 percent compared with last year.
