The Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance has approved an application of Citizens Bank and Trust Co. of St. Paul to purchase the assets and assume some liabilities of Central Bank of Central City.

Central Bank's only office will become a branch of Citizens, according to the state's approval document. Citizens is owned by Howard County Land and Cattle Co.

Terms were not disclosed. An applicatioin to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is pending.
