Lincoln Industries again has been named one of the best medium-sized companies to work for, according to rankings released Monday by the Society of Human Resource Management and the Great Place to Work Institute.

It’s the second straight year the company has been ranked 11th in the list of companies ranging in size from 251 to 999 employees.

The company ranked 20th in 2005 and 25th in 2004 — the first year rankings were released.

Lincoln Industries was the only Nebraska company to make the list of 25 this year.

The list identifies companies across the country that excel in people management strategies and find success with highly productive and satisfied work forces, according to a Lincoln Industries press release.

Founded as Lincoln Plating in 1952, the company took on a new identity as Lincoln Industries last month. Company officials said the change would better reflect the company’s expanding business base. Besides plating, the company’s services today include engineering, assembly, packaging and logistics management.

Lincoln Industries employs 540 people.

The rankings and related stories will appear in the July issue of HR Magazine and at www.shrm.org/hrmagazine. The list is posted at www.greatplacestowork.com.
