Lincoln Orthopaedic Center (LOC) surgeons and staff are pleased to welcome Brandon M. Seifert, MD.

Dr. Matt Reckmeyer, president of LOC, said, "We are pleased to welcome Dr. Seifert to the medical staff of LOC. He will help continue our tradition of providing superior orthopaedic and sports medicine care to Lincoln and surrounding communities."

Dr. Seifert joins the expert surgeons at Lincoln Orthopaedic Center with a sub-specialty in sports medicine. Dr. Seifert is a Nebraska native where he studied at Concordia University and became an All American in track and cross country.

He pursued his love for sports and medicine by attending the Nebraska College of Medicine (UNMC), earning his doctorate in 2006. After graduation he was welcomed into the orthopaedic surgery program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

During his 4th year of residency, he achieved his lifelong dream of being accepted into a sports medicine program at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) with Dr. James Andrews.

His experience at ASMI provides invaluable training which he will bring with him to serve the athletes of Nebraska. Dr. Seiferts weekly schedule includes high surgical volumes with complex cases. He has been a part of trials for new athroscopic equipment and techniques. He also evaluates and treats athletes from high school to NFL, MLB and NCAA levels who travel to the esteemed ASMI from all over the country.

Dr. Doug Tewes knew Dr. Seifert during his athletic career at Concordia. He said, "Brandon was a star athlete and academic at Concordia University where I first met him. Because of his interest in sports and orthopaedics he joined me in the training room regularly and I got to know him well. I followed him as he obtained his medical degree at UNMC, during his fellowships and I was eager to get him back to Nebraska."

Lincoln Orthopaedic Center provides sports medicine for Nebraska athletes at all levels some of which include; numerous area high schools, Lincoln Midget Football League, Lincoln Junior and High School Hockey Leagues, Lancaster Youth Softball Association, Capital City Crush, Lincoln Rugby Clubs as well as Wesleyan, Concordia and Doane colleges and Lincoln Stars and Lincoln Saltdogs.
