A couple of restaurants are set to open in the next week or so.

Valentino's will open the dining room of its new SouthPointe location on Tuesday. The delivery and carryout portion has been opened from several weeks.

Hurts Donut has set its opening date as June 20. The doughnut shop will be located in the Grand Manse building at Ninth and P streets.

A new bar called 1867 is planned for the former South Campus space near 14th and O streets. Owner Kelsey Graves said she hopes to have the bar open before the end of June.

Firehouse subs is apparently going to give Lincoln another try. The sandwich chain had a downtown location in the Larson Building at 13th and Q streets that closed in the fall of 2014 after being open for less than two years. The new location is going into the strip mall part of East Park Plaza that fronts 66th Street.

On the other side of the coin, Peyton's Best at 17th and Q streets has been closed for several weeks and looks like it will stay closed for awhile. Owner Jason Ables was sentenced earlier this week to 1-3 years in prison for selling marijuana.
