Capriotti's Sandwich Shop closed its downtown location at 11th and N streets in the Latitude apartment building last Friday.
The Las Vegas-based chain did not say why it closed, but a lack of business seems to be the reason. In December, the shop stopped being open on Sundays and it extended that to Saturdays in January. It had been open less than a year.
Capriotti's location at 27th and Old Cheney Road remains open.
Hacienda Real, a Mexican restaurant at SouthPointe Pavilions, will be adding a second location.
The restaurant will be taking over the former Slice Pizzeria space at 4811 NW First St. in the Highlands, which has been vacant for more than a year. It has not said when it will be opening there.
