Information sought in Grant murder case

The Nebraska State Patrol is seeking the public’s help in its quest for information in the September death of a Perkins County woman.

Corrie Wood, 28, was found dead in her home at 427 W. Sixth St. in Grant on the morning of Sept. 20.

She was last seen alive in the early-morning hours of Sept. 20 at at the Cactus Palace Bar in Venango, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

Wood could have been driving or a passenger in one of several vehicles, including a white 2003 Ford Expedition SUV, a white 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup or a gold 2004 Dodge Stratus 4-door sedan.

Anyone with information that might help investigators is asked to call the statewide Crime Stoppers number at 800-422-1494 or log onto the Nebraska Crime Stoppers Web site at www.nebraskacrimestoppers.com.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.
