The Nebraska Volleyball Academy at the Abbott Sports Complex will host its first-ever high school event Saturday with the six-team Lincoln Pius X Invitational.

Pius X coach Jake Moore said the tournament was moved to avoid conflicting with preparations for the Homecoming dance Saturday night at the school. Pool play begins at 9 a.m., with the championship and third-place matches slated for 12:30 p.m.

Schedule: 9 a.m. — Pius X vs. Blair, Omaha Mercy vs. Beatrice; 10 a.m. — Norris vs. Blair, Platteview vs. Beatrice; 11 a.m. — Pius X vs. Norris, Omaha Mercy vs. Platteview; 12:30 p.m. — championship and third place.
