Joseph Hall didn’t win $1 million, but he will get a chance to perform in Las Vegas.
Hall, the 24-year-old Elvis Presley tribute artist from Lincoln, has been booked with several other season three “America’s Got Talent” contestants for an Oct. 17 concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“Oh man, it’s going to be exciting,” Hall said by cell phone Thursday afternoon. “It was great news when I heard they wanted my act to be a part of the show. We’ll see what happens from there.”
On Wednesday, Neal E. Boyd, a 32-year-old opera singer from Sikeston, Mo., won the third “America’s Got Talent,” edging 26-year-old singer Eli Mattson from Chicago by a vote margin of less than 0.5 percent.
Hall, who has been performing as Elvis for just two years, finished in the top 10 on the hit summer NBC reality series.
Boyd will headline the Las Vegas show, which also will include a performance by second-season winner, ventriloquist Terry Fator.
“Nobody does what he can do,” Hall said of Boyd. “It’s all good for him. It was well deserved.”
Hall will perform locally at the Starlite Ballroom in Wahoo at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door, which open at 5:30. For reservations, call (402) 617-4477.
At 8 p.m. Oct. 24, Hall will be at “The Moose” in Lincoln — Moose Lodge No. 175, 4901 North 56th St. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The show will be limited to 300 guests. For reservations, call (402) 617-4477.
