AFL-CIO endorses Kleeb
By the Lincoln Journal Star
Democratic Senate nominee Scott Kleeb will receive the endorsement of the State AFL-CIO Tuesday, the Kleeb campaign said Monday.
“Washington special interests already have their candidate,” AFL-CIO President Ken Mass of Omaha said.
“Now Nebraska’s working families have theirs,” Mass said.
The union represents 48,000 workers across the state.
The endorsement is scheduled to be formally announced today at a news conference in Omaha.
Meanwhile, the Kleeb campaign announced it will begin airing its first general election TV ads Friday during opening ceremonies for the Olympic Games.
The ads will air in the Omaha, Lincoln, Hastings, Kearney, North Platte and Sioux City markets.
