Police say a 21-year-old man was robbed outside a Lincoln motel Tuesday evening.
The man was leaving his room at the Oak Park Motel, 926 Oak St., around 6:15 p.m. when and unknown man who appeared to be waiting followed him to his car and yelled, “You got what I want,” said Officer Katie Flood.
The man yanked the victim out of his car and pushed him against the corner of a brick wall, Flood said. The suspect took off with a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, a fake diamond earring and three Post-it notes belonging to the victim, Flood said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for a 4-centimeter laceration to his head, Flood said.
Before the victim left his room, his friend had gone out to the car to get a computer and the robbery suspect had asked him if he wanted to buy crack, Flood said.
