Shreveport shuts down Dogs
Matt Pilgreen pitched seven shutout innings and Shreveport stopped Lincoln's four-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory at home Thursday night.
Pilgreen improved to 2-4, giving up just two hits and no walks, and striking out seven. The Saltdogs managed just three hits in the game.
It could have been worse Lincoln; Shreveport stranded eight runners.
The Saltdogs will play the Sports again at 7:05 p.m. Friday in Shreveport.
