Boy dies after being pulled from northeast Lincoln pool
A 3 ½ year old Lincoln boy drowned in a backyard pool during a gathering Thursday night.
Kobie Jackson was found floating in the in-ground pool of the home at 2220 N. 53rd St. at 7:26 p.m., said Officer Katie Flood.
People at the home started CPR on Kobie until police arrived, and two officers continued CPR until Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived, Flood said.
Kobie was taken to Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m., Flood said. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday morning.
The investigation is continuing, but at this time it appears to be an accidental death, Flood said.
Kobie did not live at the residence, but was visiting during the gathering, Flood said.
