NU's conference hoops schedule released

While the Husker men’s basketball team will not be spotlighted on any of ESPN’s “Big Monday” telecasts this upcoming season, Doc Sadler’s bunch will still receive plenty of airtime.

Nearly every Husker Big 12 game will be broadcast on television. Most notably, Nebraska’s  Feb. 7 home game against Texas will be shown on ESPN. Three other conference games will be on ESPN2, including a Jan. 28 game in Lincoln against defending national champion Kansas.

The Big 12 also announced its conference schedule for women’s basketball. The Huskers will open play against Oklahoma on Jan. 10.

Nonconference schedules for NU’s men’s and women’s teams are expected to be announced in August, along with information about what games will be on Fox Sports Net.

Officials said Thursday that a minimum of 23 Nebraska men’s games will be on television this season. Most conference games will be available through affiliates of the Big 12 Network, previously known as ESPN Plus.
